On October 18, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show returned to Los Angeles for the first time in 19 years, streaming live on the brand's YouTube and social pages starting at 7:30 p.m. EST. The spectacle, dubbed 'Supermodel Sunday' and hosted at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif., was headlined by a surprise runway debut from Kylie Jenner. Wearing the brand's legendary Fantasy Bra, Jenner shocked the audience as her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, and mom, Kris Jenner, cheered her on from the audience alongside Corey Gamble. The moment marked the grand return of the decadent diamond-covered Fantasy Bra after eight years, when it was last worn by Elsa Hosk in 2018.

For the occasion, Jenner wore a silver studded top, which turned out to be the brand’s iconic Fantasy Bra. Designed by Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co., who pulled inspiration from his company’s Rare Touch Jewelry Collection, the piece is estimated to be worth $50 million, making it the most valuable Fantasy Bra ever. According to the brand, the statement silver piece was encrusted with 4,410 natural diamonds, including a remarkable 75.54-carat natural Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond at its centre. Surrounding it were 4,409 additional diamonds weighing a combined 1,373 carats, showcased in an array of exceptional cuts, including Jacob & Co.’s signature Angel-Cut diamonds. What began as a pencil sketch became a feat of jewellery engineering, made from 3,218 individually designed components. Crafted over more than 1,000 hours by 15 artisans, the bra was strung with fringe along the bottom and designed to move with the body like lingerie, combining the brilliance of high jewellery with the fluidity of fashion. Jenner completed the look with a silver thong peeking out from underneath an iridescent white miniskirt, clear PVC heels, and large feathery white wings sprouting from her back as she walked to Jade Thirlwall's Angel of my Dreams.

A California Homecoming Balances Eras

The Los Angeles homecoming was designed to blend past traditions with future directions under creative director Adam Selman. Speaking over Zoom a week before the event, Selman explained, This is not a heritage show. While the internet broke into a tizzy over casting news in the days leading up to the show, Selman noted the goal was to thread the needle between old and new by welcoming back some models of yore while also allowing room for new women to join the VS family. Alongside Jenner, the runway welcomed back OG models, including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for her first VS moment in 16 years, Elsa Hosk hitting the runway again after almost a decade, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, and Adriana Lima.

The event also showcased Solange Omon, the winner of the YouTube docuseries Angels Among Us. The series followed Selman, Paloma Elsesser, Gigi Hadid, and Ashley Graham through a nationwide casting call where 1,200 women competed for a spot in the lineup and a contract with IMG Models. Other models on the catwalk included Gigi Hadid, Alex Consani, Liu Wen, Quen Blackwell, and Trinity Rodman, alongside Natalia Bryant making her debut.

The 2026 iteration, kicked off by Bella Hadid, transported viewers through a year across a lucite runway in a matter of minutes. Selman constructed a seasonal voyage where spring was tied to desire and obsession, summer was high heat, autumn with its corsetry and lace wings was all about romance, and two winter sections featured models adorned in luxe furs and silver-tipped sets. An intermission featured reissues of vintage slip dresses, while the Pink halftime show allowed It girls like Quen Blackwell and Trinity Rodman to take on the runway in ready-to-wear.

Performances accompanied the models throughout the evening. Megan Thee Stallion, Katseye, and Megan Moroney took the stage as Tate McRae sang her new single Housewife for the first time in shimmering red lingerie while sharing the stage with the summer portion models. However, musical guest Megan Moroney faced backlash from viewers online who accused her of getting in the models' way, with fans complaining on X that she blocked the runway and almost knocked a model off the stage.
