About Dateline Wire
Dateline Wire is an independent online news publication covering news, world affairs, politics, business, technology, science, health, sports and entertainment. Every article is written from a corpus of multiple independent sources, fact-checked twice — once by an automated editorial verifier that traces every number and quote back to a source, and once by a second review pass — and published with its full source list attached. When a story develops, we update the original report rather than fragmenting coverage across duplicates.
What we stand for
Every story we publish follows three rules. First, facts come from verifiable sources: official statements, primary documents, wire services and reputable newsrooms, with the primary source credited at the end of each article. Second, numbers and quotes appear exactly as the sources published them — we never round, embellish or reconstruct. Third, analysis is labelled as analysis: when our editors interpret events, the interpretation is theirs and the facts underneath remain attributed.

News Desk — breaking and developing stories
A development is published once several independent outlets carry it, early numbers are attributed to whoever reported them, and a developing story is updated in one report as facts firm up instead of being split across duplicate articles.
Politics Desk — elections, legislation and government
Official documents and statements are credited where the sources include them, polling figures appear exactly as published, and competing partisan accounts of the same fact are attributed side by side.
World Desk — international affairs
Reports bring together wire services, regional press and official statements, note where their accounts differ, and attribute casualty figures to the authority that counted them, never averaging them.
Business Desk — markets, companies and the economy
Every figure is reproduced exactly as its source published it and tied to a date, and reported results are kept separate from analyst forecasts.
Tech & Science Desk — technology, AI, space and research
Research stories name the journal, preprint or institution behind a finding and keep the researchers' own caveats; company announcements are reported as announcements, not as established results.
Health Desk — medicine and public health
Findings are attributed to the study or health authority behind them, relative and absolute risk are never mixed up, early research is labeled as such, and no story offers medical advice.
Sports Desk — football, the North American leagues and more
Transfer and injury reports are attributed to the outlet that reported them rather than presented as settled, and scores and statistics appear exactly as the sources published them.
Entertainment Desk — film, TV, music and gaming
Box-office and streaming figures are quoted exactly as their measurement source published them, production news is attributed to the outlet that broke it, and coverage explains what a deal or cancellation means for the industry.
How we work
Our newsroom monitors international wire coverage, official announcements and the regional press around the clock. Stories are selected on news value — what is genuinely new, confirmed by multiple independent outlets, and relevant to our readers — and produced with modern editorial tools under the standards above. We deliberately publish fewer, better-sourced stories rather than chasing volume.

Dateline Wire is independently operated. Our journalism is funded by on-site display advertising.
